Cataract problem can be treated Hazy eye sight or unclear vision are some of the symptoms of cataract, which is the condition whereby the lens of the eyes have become less clear, causing visual difficulty for an individual. Early stage of cataract, which does not affect visual clarity, is common among people above the age of 60. However, as time goes by, the lens of the eye will slowly become cloudier and will eventually lead to complete blindness when the lens become opaque. Cataract surgery Cataract can be treated by surgically removed the cloudy lens and replace it with a new artificial eye lens. There are 2 methods of surgery that can be used to treat cataract. 1. The first method is a conventional surgery which require to open a 12-13 millimeter wound in order to replace the new lens with the old one. A patient can take anywhere from 4-6 weeks to fully recover. 2. The second method uses high frequency sound which create a small would of 3 millimeters to remove the old lens and place a new foldable lens in its place. This technique helps to speed up surgery time and does not require the doctor to perform stitching to seal the wound. This way of treating cataract allows the patient to have full function of the eye function again within 2-3 days which is a much faster recovery time compare to conventional technique. As
