Depression disorder
Today, from survey and research of world health organization, it is noted that depression disorder can be more commonly found in many people. So much so that 1 in 20 people around the world is facing some type of depression and about 5 percent in young adults. First, we need to understand what is the feeling of being depress and depression disorder as many of us misunderstood that when we experience depression, we can fix it easily such as by going out for a work, exercising or doing activities that is relaxing. Doing these activities can ease depression but depression disorder is much more severe than just feeling down. We need to put more emphasis on this topic and increase our awareness so that we can help those who are going through depression.
Feeling depress and depression disorder are being mixed up as same thing by a lot of people and by misunderstanding these two things can lead to negative impact when giving advice or trying to help. Feeling depress is consider normal emotional state that human can experience and manage when the source of the depression changes, pass on or moved on from such as the lost of loved one, unemployment or failing to pass an exam. The feeling can be improved and be rid of through time or through doing enjoyable activities. However, depression disorder is entirely different from feeling depress. It last longer and more severe that it can cause a change in chemical in our brain. This change in brain chemical can impact the ability to process of thinking and behavioral changes which comes from depression of disorder and emotional burden affecting on the individual all the time. This need to be understood and receive proper medical care accordingly.
In young adult, physical, emotional and mental changes occur constantly as life develop. Something which we sometime overlook and brush off as “puberty thing” is not always the case such as temper issue, inclusive and need for isolation.
