Praram 9 Hospital Joins NIA and 32 Partners to Advance Thailand’s Medical Innovation Ecosystem

Praram 9 Hospital signed a memorandum of cooperation with the National Innovation Agency (Public Organization) (NIA) and 32 partners under the “Medical and Health Innovation for Sustainable Growth Project” to strengthen Thailand’s medical and health innovation ecosystem and support the country’s goal of becoming an ASEAN Medical Innovation Hub.

The collaboration focuses on advancing MedTech, HealthTech, and Wellness innovations by connecting research, technology, and innovation to real-world healthcare applications through cooperation among the public sector, private sector, educational institutions, and healthcare providers.

Dr. Wittaya Wanpen, Deputy Managing Director, Business Development & Strategy Office, of Praram 9 Hospital, said the hospital is proud to contribute as a healthcare partner by evaluating the feasibility of innovations developed by startups and researchers, while providing insights into clinical workflow, hospital workflow, patient journey, and real-world healthcare challenges to help ensure practical implementation.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Korpong Rookkapan, Assistant Managing Director overseeing Risk Management at Praram 9 Hospital, emphasized that innovation development must be accompanied by quality, safety, and comprehensive risk management to ensure meaningful benefits for patients and the healthcare system.

Praram 9 Hospital remains committed to supporting the development of safe, high-quality innovations that meet international standards, helping strengthen Thailand’s healthcare system and enhance the country’s position as a leading medical innovation hub in ASEAN.
